nah the fact its floyded and has that cutaway on the back is what makes me really want one, just the price is rediculous when the companies QC is in the shitter!

Agreed on the last half. I know Mark Day was doing stuff with Indie guitars. They had a cool LP for a good price that had a floyd. Don't know if it had a cutaway or not.

I don't like the Floyd, but I'd love to try that neck. Looks great.

I much prefer to play super-strats, but I've always had some secret lust for a Gibson LP. The neck on this guitar might be easier to play in the upper registers than a traditional LP neck, I wish I could try it to see how much easier.

The price though...

When small, local builders can make you a quality single-cutaway guitar with a splendid flame top for half of the price, you know you're paying for the Gibson brand instead of the instrument itself.

nah, tried some £1500 LP's a while back and left feeling a little dissapointed, plus a firebird that was just plain aweful.

That's my theory as well. These rumors get started, then spread like wildfire. Not saying the OP is doing that, though.

Yeah, I mean obviously there are some dud Gibsons out there, but you can say that for every company. I still say Gibson makes the best sounding guitars out there. I'd probably never buy a new one, but I rarely ever buy anything new when I can get it on eBay for WAY cheaper.

They should deduct at least $800 off ANY Les Paul that they install a Floyd on if anything.

And most new Gibson's I've played have been flawless. The new Traditional LP's are KILLER. Don't blame guitars tuned down 5 octaves on Gibson.

I noticed that as well, the thin body. And maybe PRS should sue Gibson because the neck heel and tummy cut are the same as the PRS Singlecuts.

But the Axcess just didn't feel right, i didn't even bother to plug it in after messing around with it unplugged for a few minutes. And the price is just retarded.

I don't know why they put a floyd on a LP, it does not belong there. Get a freakin ESP if you want a LP shaped guitar with a floyd - gonna be a lot cheaper anyway.

Economy goes down the drain, prices are getting higher. Insanity. Smart move Gibson. Or Fender. Or Paul Reed Smith.
