how do gibson justify this price???

I love a FR on a LP.
Maybe it's all the import charges that inflate the price.

j/k. They're priced high here in the States as well.

China to USA.
Custom Shop guitars are the only ones made/manufactured here(Tenn).
Gibby has outsourced all manufacturing to the China plant.
Most parts are CNC made in China and some assembled in the USA.

On a business trip I toured the plant in Qingdao.
The majority of guitars were epiphone, but there was a warehouse full of raw bodies and necks with Gibson on them.
No actual proof, just my experience.

Look on ebay, you can buy these "Gibsons" dirt cheap, just like any other bootleg ripoff crap!

I am aware of the knockoff instruments. Which by the way, play and sound as good if not better than the real thing for 200-400 dollars.
These were not replica parts with Gibson logos. They were stacked and packed heading for the US with no finish other than headstock logo and paint.
My business is import/export. I am well aware of what they were and where they were going. That is unless there is another Tenn. USA in the world.
This was only my personal observation.

And neither is Chevy or Ford. Proudly made, I mean assembled, I mean made in the US of A.
Don't ever let a large business like G pull the wool over your eyes. Many US companies have been doing this for well over 20-30 years.
I too have foolishly bought into it. I have since become a more educated man.
