Totally. That fat mod makes the Recto channel pretty well unusable and you can't dial the bloat out.

I remember hearing that the phat mod was made for guitars with single coils. As for who the fuck would be playing in that mode exclusively with a single coil bridge pickup? Yep the designer was probably high.
