How long does Suhr usually takes to service an amp?

I dropped my PT100 at the Suhr to get it serviced at Lake Elsinore and it's been there for almost a month! Anyone had to wait that long for their amps to be repaired? Dave Friedman is really good about getting my amps done at a reasonable time despite how busy he is!

Some of us who work long hours in the studio are not aware of little details like that holidays and NAMM! Lol!

You might be right! I just miss the amp because it has a tone that I use a lot which none of my other amps get.

Doesn't sound uncommon. Just waiting in line is where the wait comes in.

A local shop quoted me a month and that was just at a random time with no NAMM in sight.

Thanks! I'm planning on buying a Suhr custom made guitar, and from what I heard they take a long time to finish them because they appear to be so busy! When I dropped my amp, they had one of their guitars hanging in a show room and when I touched the neck, a ray of light came down from the sky and I think I might have heard angels singing! It was perfect!Lol!

I actually juts took delivery of a new Suhr Standard today. I think it was about a 4 month run from when I ordered it to when it delivered. Not too bad. I always go through Matt's Music.

If ordering a custom Suhr, call around the dealers to find an open build slot. Dealers often reserve slots with undecided specs to help customers jump in. You don't want to go all the way to the back of the line.

You should have found an amp tech with a quick turn around time. Do you try to have your amps serviced by the builders?

You should have found an amp tech with a quick turn around time. Do you try to have your amps serviced by the builders?

The amp is still under warranty and I don't think there's any tech that's a "certified " Suhr tech that can handle warranty service.

Thanks for the tip! Do you have to pay the whole amount or a percentage of the total price? I just can't find a stock Suhr Modern Pro with the specs I'm looking for like mahogany over flame maple with roasted maple neck and fretboard and other things that I'm looking for.

I'm used to '64 Fender Strat necks and Warmoth 1 5/8 modern with 10 to 16 compound radius and wizard profile which is thinner than the standard thin. I also like 6110 Stainless steel frets and it looks like Suhr tallest frets are slightly taller. I also use scallop necks 60% of the time which Suhr also offers but I wouldn't get it on a $3,800 guitar!

I just dropped my Mesa 2 90 for servicing at that store, when I pick it up I'll check them out!I won't buy it there because Ca has one of the highest sale taxes! 10%! Thanks.

Suhr is second to none with service! Not speedy. Being busy is a good sign. If the work wasn't reputable you may get it back it back the same day. Suhr is busy! I guess I'd have asked when I left it. Not trying to be sparky, I shipped a guitar to be worked on and it was longer than I thought it would take, but I didn't ask and when it was finished it was well worth the wait

One thing about Suhr is you know it will be done right. Awesome customer service. Will echo folks above about NAMM. Give em' some time, you can always rest easy with Suhr knowing that it will be done right.

Good news from Suhr! They contact me and told they were able to duplicate the issue I was having. The problem was that when the amp has been on for some time, the tone changed from a great tone to a buzzy crappy tone, which was very annoying while trying to record guitar tracks! They couldn't duplicate the problem but they finally did so they are working on it. Cardinal and Viper were correct! They are busy getting ready for the NAMM show. Thanks!
