How many of you are Strat guys?

I couldn't tell you how many I've had over the years. Over a year and a half ago I got a Richie Kotzen Stratocaster to go with my Telecaster and the Stratocaster is the best one I've ever owned I just love it! It does have a big neck like the Telecaster but that's one of the things I love about it if you wanted to put a humbucker in the bridge that's an easy fix but I don't have any problem with the SSS set up I love the pickups that are loaded in it also.

Coming in second would be the Eric Johnson Stratocaster more vintage sounding and it also has the bigger neck that a lot of people don't like but I love them.

I’m not sure how this forum is since I’m new but in others man Schecter gets a ton of hate but I own a c1 classic and have played others and they are extremely well built for the price point in my opinion.

Yeah, I’ve seen that elsewhere. I’ve not mentioned the Schecter here before, so waiting on the response. It works for me, which is the important thjng.

Yes they are super jumbo and with the fact that they're made in Japan they are rolled and the attention to detail is absolutely amazing as good as any Custom Shop you would buy. They're spendy and then if you buy them from overseas you have to pay duties to get them shipped into the United States but I bit the bullet and it was well worth it.

lol well since no one has jumped in poking fun yet I’d assume it might be a huge thing here which is good. Definitely whatever works best for you instead of trying to keep up with what everyone else is playing!

Can't say I'm a strat guy but I've been looking to be and have been doing some research. Assuming you're talking about Fender.

I've played a few recently and can definitely notice the difference between tiers.

I think a used american deluxe HSS is the way to go. They even have a particular 3rd series 2010-2016 with a compound radius if thats your thing.

I’m funny about strats…I don’t get to worked up over them. I think the miho built ones are damn near as good as USA made… if it has proper bones you can always do a few upgrades to make it next level. Plenty of metal dudes using Strats. I do think you need a humbucker in the bridge though. Dude from obituary uses one and that’s pretty heavy tonez….

Yeah. The USA SRV and EJ Virginia have flat boards and tall frets, but I don't trust Fender USA fretwork enough to risk buying one. I trust Fender Japan though.

I agree 100%. You won't be disappointed in one of these guitars like I said they are spendy but I'm absolutely happy with my purchase.
