How many of you are truly happy with your current tone?

What dont you like about your current tone? Doesn't inspire you? sounds like everyone else? boring? Are you more of a raw marshall type guy or the more produced/smoothed out amps like bogner/friedman etc? Need more info!

yup I'm happy. Have a slightly modded SD-1 into Marshall Plexi/JCM800/DSL recipe that works with any of those Marshall amps. I still look at amps but I stick to the Marshall types.

I've been there before. You will never get the tone in your head. The tone in you head is based off of heavily edited studio magic. Another issue I had was that I was afraid to venture too far from 12:00 on the tone knobs. I later decided who cares how it's set.

I have some guitars and an amp that I'm always happy with, seemingly no matter what. But that doesn't stop me from buying new stuff and spending way too much time and money trying to get that new stuff to sound and play like the old stuff, and when that doesn't work I get frustrated and sell the new stuff at a terrible loss and repeat.

Very happy with my amp(s) tone(s), selected effects, and guitars. I no longer search for any amps/effects/guitars.....

BE100 for dirt and PT100 for cleans(best of both worlds)...Suhr 4x12 with Scumback m75s....

i guess i'm a lot like darren. all i really need is a plexi/800. i'm very happy with my current rig. i plan on thinning the herd in 2016. the marshalls and jet city stay. everything else? if i'm not using it it can go. i have too much stuff and need to pare it down.

I normally gravitate towards single channel Marshall or Marshall type amps. If I've gone with channel switchers, I always picked one channel and stayed with it and used pedals while playing live. I've tried bunches of different amps and they all sounded good. Maybe I just get bored easily. Idk.
