I have a 2016, and have owned several newer versions. This one seems more aggressive than others I've had, more raw. The newer ones seemed more polished. I know voicing tweaks were done at some points.
This one does hum a bit, but it seems all the Runts I've had did. Nothing major. Nothing annoying by any means.
