You're making excuses - it's about where people in the US get most of their knowledge and awareness from. We have a population that is the size of one US state - the US has economies of scale. Yes we have a film industry but not a production powerhouse with 250 million people behind it.

As an honorary Texan I would expect you to know better.

As for foreign aid, most of us on the right wouldn't hold that up as a point of pride. It's more like a point of shame, point of disgust. etc..

The main reason you don't see more about Australians in American war movies is simple. The US is a massive market and almost all movies are marketed to the US. So obviously the focus is going to be American GIs.
