Don Felder may not be playing with the Eagles, but he's still a member of the band whether Glenn Frey likes it or not. He's 1/3 owner, and CFO which means they have to pay him a percentage of everything they make.

If memory serves (I read Don's book...), he took them to court but ultimately settled, relinquishing ownership to Henley and Frey. I hope he got a gigantic chunk of change...

After it was all settled, Don apparently requested to be reinserted into the band, but of-course Frey & Henley refused. Don Felder always struck me as a quiet genius type personality. My bandmate asked me who I thought would be worthy replacement for Don Felder? I responded with Peter Frampton. This was over a year ago, and now I see that Don Felder is gigging with none other than Peter Frampton!
