How to put this rig together... anyone care to help? VH4 amp

Screw selling the M4, but now I have some more questions for those who dont mind helping me wrap my head around this... and yes, Im slowly getting around to this project still!!!

I basically know that I want to try the pedal configuration starting off this Keeley->ISP->Maxon808->BossNS-2.

This will be a hard gating system for when I need it to be silent with palm muting and staccato ect. but will allow for sustains without cutting notes off prematurly and will keep my picking dynamics in tact... so this must not change as this is how I need it to stay for now.

So here I go with my first basic question...

Lets say now I dont need the pedals to do that, and I would just like to use the TIM pedal with the Keeley compressor... should I put that TIM in the next spot after the boss NS-2 in the amp gizmo?

2nd question...

Where does the Zvex Fuzz Face go? I hear that it does not cooperate with the buffer in the amp gizmo, and someone else commented about it but I cant find the thread... should it go before everything, or does it not matter since it can be programmed to be the only pedal on no matter where it is positioned in the amp gizmo?

3rd question and last for now...

I want to use the midi eq pedal for cutting frequencies or boosting frequencies on the Triple rectifier/VH4 tones. Do I place the pedal in the effects loop to properly achieve that? I think I have always read that EQ comes after the preamp, correct?

I have so many more questions with this rig, and hopefully you guys can help me get around to them all. I want to start simple however before I even get around to cutting out some cables to test out this configuration, so any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!! It only gets more complicated after this.

this is actually relatively easy if a head switcher is included. Brunetti Matrix would be my choice as it allows you to share pre and post efx between all the amps connected, but instead of patching the last post efx back to the brunetti, you send it to the wet poweramp then to wet cabs.

the only downside is you can only use one amp at a time...

If your saying what I think your saying... the possibility of running either the VH4 or the Triple Rec with the capability of using the Egnater preamp and modules either through the power amp, or power section of either the VH4 and, or the Triple Rec I will be very interested to see a schematic of how that might be achieved, with in mind how my pedal layout should have to be with running the delay and reverb in parallel through a mixer.

Care to share some links, or some more insight in light of that please? I thank you a 1000 times!!!

Hey bro, I am pretty sure my math is finished on your project. I just had to think of it the right way. Pm me and the diagram should be finished in a day or so.

Forgive me but my MS paint is acting up.

I break it down like so.....

Preamp Selections:
VH4 Ch 1 Clean (hiwatt style)
VH4 Ch 2 Crunch (Park 75)
VH4 Ch 3 Heavy (nuff said)
VH4 Ch 4 Lead (Needs noise gate)
eM4 Ch 1 Bassman style clean
eM4 Ch 2 AC 30 clean/crunch
eM4 Ch 3 Orange style Mid Gain
eM4 Ch 4 Brutal Mod (your choice)
REC Ch 1 Clean/Pushed
REC Ch 2 Orange/Red

Poweramp Selections:
VH4 120 watts mono 6l6/5881
REC 150 watts mono 6l6/5881
RT2 50 watts dual mono el34/6l6

Now stopping right here, we have 10 preamp combinations that can run up to 4 power sections.

Before adding Midi Switching or Effects we need to decide how many speakers to impalement with this rig.

A new idea I wanted to try out with you is a Left/Center/Right rig. Unlike wet/dry/wet or even wet/dry my plan is to have the Center Cab 25-50% wet and the left and right panned hard and 75-100% wet. The idea stems from stereo aux returns for effects on a mixing console. This should give you the widest dimensional of dispersion why still sounding localized (ie natural).

My cab of choice for the VH4 is the Front Loaded Diezel you own. I would run this mono.
My cab of choice for the REC is the Rear Loaded Wizard you own at home. Mono as well.
RT2 has two power sections. Left el34 and Right 6l6. Using either 1x12's or 2x12 as stereo field monitors.
(in the meantime you can run a dual mono setup on the 4x12 Deizel. Right side vh4 Left side Rectifier.)

NOW THE FUN ROUTING PART:
Lucky for us the Recto and Vh4 both have SWITCHABLE loops. The sends are our Preamp outs to route to various power sections and the returns are our Preamp IN's. These can be all routed into independent loops and switched in and out MIDI. Cool right

Now before I go any further I can foresee some really bitchin' possibilities with routing of various preamps and power sections. Not to mention once we start boosting those preamps and wetting those power sections. I need a 10min smoky break.......... ;)

Ask ron from RJM if he can make a diagram of the Green Day Rig. Its pretty similar to what we are doing.

They are running pedals in front of their amps and possibly stereo or dual mono delays. 2 amps 1 preamp.

Luke

Sounds like it could be everything I had ever looked for in a rig!!! You go and take that smoky break buddy, you deserve it!!! Thank you! I will request that from Ron over at the RJM forum.
