Confederate statues and monuments are being pulled down and removed all over the south. Where are they going after being removed? Recycling? Landfills? Storage?
Howcum they aren’t auctioned to highest bidders so they can be displayed on private property with monies going into local govt coffers? Seems reasonable.

In the case of a city near me they moved it from the town square to the more black side of town after blm outsiders protested about it on the square. I think some of the statues you are talking about are going to private land for display. I haven't really kept up with it.

They are taken down and moved to garages. In a few years, they will be replaced when people find another thing to be mad at from the past.

In my area, pretty much this. They're going to some storage facility. Some private historical societies wanted to buy them, but as far as I'm aware the municipality wasn't willing to sell.
