How's my Twin Jet tone?

Doesn't help that I suck at recording but man, this thing sounds nothing like my Blue Rev. which is awesome. I was hoping for something new with this amp.

I would have never expected that KT88s and a master presence would make such a huge difference.

I still love the blue rev though but the Twin Jet is everything I want in an amp.

It was something like:

Channel 2 (I don't remember them 100% but they were almost exactly like this):

Middle: 11 o'clock
Presence: 11 o'clock
Gain: 12 o'clock
Treble: 1 o'clock
Bass: 2 o'clock
Depth: 12 o'clock
Master Presence: 2 o'clock

Maxon OD-9 (These settings are definite):

Gain: 0
Level: 12 o'clock
Tone: 1 o'clock

Not a lot.

I use my Uber now without a boost but it definitely adds some nice aggressive characteristics to the amp.

As a result though, I have to run my gain at around 2 o'clock now.

The pedal adds a little bit of tightness to the amp and makes it a little smoother.

It's definitely worth having one around just to try.

Is channel 2 the new "clean" channel or the old version one Uber channel?

Channel 2 is the standard lead channel that was in the original Uber. (Sounds a lot better though!)

Channel 1 is the new clean channel which in my opinion isn't much of a clean channel but it's an incredible channel none the less.

Hot Rodded Marshall tones galore!

Yeah that sounded quite a bit different than how I remember my version 1 sounding. That's why I asked. I'd like to hear a dirty clip of channel one as well.

Channel 1 is not a clean channel. It is a gain channel, just a bit less than channel 2. They do offer the new mod that can clean channel 1 up. The twinjet was desinghed to be channel 1 about 80% gain as channel 2. More of a hot rodded Marshall type of vibe. Channel 2 is not the same gain channel as any of the older Uber versions. Totally different voicing. I have had every version of the Uber and the twinjet sounds nothing like the past versions. Different animal all together.

Yeah it's interesting because in that clip where Bogner demo's it, it seems like I remember his saying channel 2 was the same as the first version Uber.

I have had every Uber version that has been out and the voicing of the TJ is completly different than any past Uber.

I believe you, but because of what I heard it made me wonder if it's due to the power section more than the pre-amp? Unless what I heard was misinformation?

On another note, which of the first 3 versions was your favorite? I had the first one, and while I loved it I found it to be kinda noisy.
