A few weeks ago i started a quick thread in search of someone amp wise for help with retubing/biasing my bogner shiva, Mike Fortin (fortinamplification.com) decided to be so kind as to message me offering to be of service..

A few weeks later, both my shiva and xtc are retubed and are A-OK awesomely sounding again!! He truely is a most professional, sincere and awesome guy to deal with and did the post 2004 gain mod to my red channel on the xtc using low input jack for switching between stock and 2004 mod!! Killer option for different killer sounds at a killer price and BEST of all, really good all around person and service. He even noticed a few other minor issues and tended to them to tune the amps up to full service, Mike you are the man and anything in the future (if you aren't already swamped with your amps) I am going your way for help

If anyone in the GTA area is considering doing ANYTHING to their amps mod wise, retubing, bogner mods, looking for a killer boutique amp (check out the bones head, search youtube.com for fortin amp bones/meathead) PLEASE do yourself a favour and contact Mike as he is a real down to earth guy that has a true sincere passion for amps and will always go the extra mile for tone!

I'll have to take a drive down sometime to try your Bogner. Never played one.

These days, I've got a Splawn Nitro and a Splawn 412.. I also have a 3TM Modded ADA MP-1 going into a VHT 2502 as a backup rig. Guitars, I've got a Lespaul custom with Duncan Blackouts, A gibson Flying V with Duncan Blackouts and a Jackson Flying V with EMG85 and Duncan Blackout.

you around anytime next week?

I listened to the clips of the Bones and it sounds really good!
Huge sounding with a tight low end.
My kinda amp.

Hopefully, I'll be able to try one at the ampfest or should I say amp feast :)

I don't know if I can praise Mike enough, as it would probably start to sound sickening, but Mike has stepped up and offered to help me out of a situation and he's offered some serious help, I can't think of anyone else who would do that? It helps that I live abotu an hour away, but he has been such a cool dude and his amps look just about perfect!

I can't wait for the Meathead's arrival and the Natas!

Thanks for helping out Mike, premptivly!

Peace

Same here. The guy is not only a brilliant builder but he is a good guy through and through. He definitely goes above and beyond the call of duty to help people and that says a lot about him as a person.
I can't wait until he gets his ampline out there!!! methinks is just a matter of time before he goes on the list of the killer amp gurus!!!! (he is already there IMHO)

Hey Ralph!
His amps sure sound great. Mike is about 5 hours away.... Hopefully, if he attends the ampfest, he will bring one
of his amps.

Besides that, things are great here! I got a gig April 17th which is very exciting.
I look forward to play live again. :m17:
