Humbucker Coil Splitting question

Hi, I am currently installing a new set of Pickups (Irongear UK) and I want to try the coilsplitting option. Looking at the diagram the company provides, I would like to know, which coil is active in the split mode? I heard, that in the Neck position the south coil (the one with the crews closer to the guitar neck) is preferred. I provided a wiring diagram.

Grounding the green/white junction as shown in the diagram with the push/pull pots will leave the screw coil active. Same for both neck and bridge pickups.

Yeah, the second diagram shows how it's wired. The red is the start on the outside coils, the green and white come together to bridge the two, and the black (and shield) ground to make a humbucker. Grounding the green and white ends the pickup after just the outer single coils.

I prefer the outer coils. That's my go-to for a chimey clean tone. I put mine on a 5 way super switch at position 2.
