I’m testifying this morning

i have plenty of political opinions, but my music or a guitar forum is the last place i want politics involved in. why so many musicians seem to be eager to spew some bullshit thinking they are changing the world or something when all they are doing is alienating half their fan base is beyond me. its like michael jordan being asked why he dosent get into politics and his response was "republicans buy sneakers too".

Humans have been singing about politics for millenia.

Interestingly enough there are pretty strong ideological similarities between Nixon and Trump, not to mention their undermining the public view of the ethical integrity of the US government both at home and abroad.

im aware of that, not really sure what your point is though? People can sing about whatever they want, just as one can choose not to listen. im tired of politics being constantly interjected in every area of life from both sides, and i dont think im alone.

Seemed like you were saying that they should just shut up because they're celebrities. Sorry that I misinterpreted what you wrote. Hope you're doin' well, man!

To be fair, some musicians have helped to change what's going on.
