for some reason, some of this mesa tremoverb talk has me ankering to try and work out a way to get one.

Currently I have an Engl Gigmaster 15. Now I like it, decent clean channel that can be pushed, and the drive is nice mostly, just don't like the shared EQ, cause the channels NEED to be eq'd differently, but heck I am not playing out anymore, barely record a real amp much anyways. So I guess I am just bored and want to try something new

So why am I wanting a tremoverb? help me out and tell me what its good for, bad for etc....

spanks in advance..

Me Too. I'm not bored I just love amps and guitars.

you saw nearly everyone recommend it in a recent thread?

I know Dave Meniketti of Y&T toured with one for years.

You aspire to be the dude from Incubus?

You want to cop the tone from The Colour and Shape by Foo Fighters?

You saw Lindsey Buckingham playing a Fleetwood Mac gig and thought he had nice tone?

Gotta throw this one in too:

You're secretly in love with the lead singer's tone from My Morning Jacket?

:rawk:

Uh Oh, The Mesa Tremoverb throws it's hat in the mix for best amp ever for the week.

Great amp   Not gonna trade the Mark III or Quickrod for it this week.. Check with me next week.

ha great responses!

Yes I get bored easy with amps.

Does the tremoverb sound decent at lower volumes? or is it like a usual recto that needs some gain to get past some of the fizz?

Hello,,,(tap-tap)Is this thing on?? Test-one, Test-two, One more time,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,MESA'S BEST AMP EVER, PERIOD.
    Sorry, just get tired of saying it! Amp sounds awesome turned down or up, it dont matter. I am missing mine, I bought one new, sold it when I started my very drawn out tone search, lots of amps have come and gone and I only regret two,, Tremoverb and Budda SD80, anybody who plays classic rock to hard rock HAS to try these two amps!!! Those two will come back again!

I have to disagree.. Not the best Mesa ever. I have to agree.. I miss mine and will probably have another.

I've never had an chance to play through a Mark IIC+ but IMO the Mark III kills any recto I've ever heard YMMV. The Tremoverb is a beast! I regret selling mine! It all depends on your taste!

I have a Tremoverb I bought new on the first run in 94 .... never consider selling it. Still needs to be turned up to kill some of the fizz ... but not as much as most of the DR's. The clean channel is better than most of the DR's .... cranked up can do a pretty good vintage amp voice. The Blues channel has a pretty big midrange hump and also can do clean to crunch sounds .... in some ways this channel reminds me of the Mark III red stripe I had.

If I was looking for a DR ... it is the only one I would be interested in ....
