its all in what you like I guess... I started with an old 2 channel Triple Recto, then went to a series 2 Rectoverb, then to a Tremoverb. In the end, I got rid of them all and now have a DSL 100, and I actually like it the best. Totally different voicing than the rectos, but it fits my playing style better.

for some reason, some of this mesa tremoverb talk has me ankering to try and work out a way to get one.

Currently I have an Engl Gigmaster 15. Now I like it, decent clean channel that can be pushed, and the drive is nice mostly, just don't like the shared EQ, cause the channels NEED to be eq'd differently, but heck I am not playing out anymore, barely record a real amp much anyways. So I guess I am just bored and want to try something new

So why am I wanting a tremoverb? help me out and tell me what its good for, bad for etc....

spanks in advance..

Don't let forum threads about an amp sway you toward an impulse purchase just because of the thread. It's like trying to chase piss in the wind.

Jeesh, I wouldn't try to chase piss regardless of whether it was windy out or not. What are you going to do with it when you catch it?.....

What's the AxeFX II? Never heard of it......

;)

Here is mine in the studio last week. its a 1993 chasis pulled out of a combo and put into a wooden headshell. Has great tone and tracking with it has been no problem.

Ha chasing piss in the wind, that should be the remake of "dust in the wind" metal style...

I have a Tremoverb I bought new on the first run in 94 .... never consider selling it. Still needs to be turned up to kill some of the fizz ... but not as much as most of the DR's. The clean channel is better than most of the DR's .... cranked up can do a pretty good vintage amp voice. The Blues channel has a pretty big midrange hump and also can do clean to crunch sounds .... in some ways this channel reminds me of the Mark III red stripe I had.

If I was looking for a DR ... it is the only one I would be interested in ....
