So, in the past week I have added two new members to the family. The first was the Cameron modded Ecstasy. Mods to it are: Clean channel is now the clean of a Shiva, Blue channel has more bottom end and overall aggression, red channel is pretty similar to the standard post 04 red channel with a bit more bottom and aggression, plexi is the same, and then there is a switch for the red channel that takes it into a HG Jose/Aldrich/Bogner mixture that is just awesome. This amp is causing me to sell my other unmodded ecstasy, which has been my go to amp forever.
Newest arrival was last nights 11:15PM delivery of a Friedman Kitchen Sink with Fat switch. I haven`t had as much time with this as I would like (only about an hour so far) but I have very much enjoyed all the time on it so far. I really can`t decide what my favorite part of the mod is, all three modes are just a hell of a lot of fin to play. Really is like the perfect Marshall tone. Nails AC/DC to Undertow/Aenima era Tool without a bat of the eye. I am very much impressed by this amp to say the least. The fat switch adds some nice girth and bottom end thump while still keeping everything else about the tone intact. Lots of clarity and snarl while just being really fun to play. If I have some time this weekend I will definately try to throw some clips together, if not it will be nearly a month before I get the chance (heading to Hong Kong/China on business for two weeks).
Just some quick pics (sorry the lighting sucks, haven`t gotten around to putting in a better fixture in the studio room)!
