I'm being released finally. My breathing is better today, and there isn't much more they can do for me here. Pain is going to be a way of life for a bit, but at least I'll be out of the hospital.

Sorry to hear about your wreck Bezo.............Glad to hear you are on the mend though. I've seen some pretty knarly wrecks people post on YT. I took some pretty good wrecks while racing/riding my BMX bikes in the 80's and I can't imagine wrecking like that now. A good friend of mine has had a couple bad wrecks on his mountainbike out west on the trails of Washington state, he's in great shape in his 50's and these wrecks have hit him pretty hard.

I laughed when I read this initially. I've crashed hardcore too many times back in the day. We aren't 20 anymore, pain is real haha Hope you're feeling better bro.

Here's a pic about a 5 days after I wrecked. I'm holding my belly with my gimp arm because that's all I could do with it..
I could only lay on my left side so all the blood oozed across my chest.. You don't realize how much you flip flop in bed until you can't..
I went back to work about after like a week off but had pain and mobility issues for a while after..

I suspect you will know all of this..

I drove to an urgent care, but vitals dropped and they sent me to the ER in the wee-woo wagon. I cracked four ribs, 3-6, with 3 broke in two places. The residual contusions and vitals require a 24 hr stay. Breathing is tough and shallow, but I'm okay. My shoulder and hip are just contusions. I won't be playing guitar tonight.

Damn, I feel for you. I've had a broken rib. It fucking sucks.

Let any friends or family known to crack jokes at times like this this is not a good time. Maybe in 9 months.
 
Man thats a rough go. I broke 3 ribs and my right hand few years back on my mountain bike. Knocked myself the fuck out too. Out of all the broken bones ive had the ribs were def the worst. They fucking hurt and hurt and hurt till one day like 6 weeks later they just didn't hurt anymore. Still remember waking up every night because id turn the wrong way in my sleep and just shoot pain down my side. Speedy recovery man.
 
In 5 weeks you will be like new, but the pain sucks until there.
