This amp caught my eye a few years back but was put on the backburner since there were none for sale. It's one that people seem to forget about and doesn't come up for sale overly often. One popped up on GC's website about 3-4 months back. I was behaving myself and resisting the urge to buy, but after sitting on it the temptation became too much. Called the GC store and worked a decent enough price that I was willing to pay. Hopefully it'll be here by the end of next week and arrive safely.

What is the amp you may be asking. Not going to reveal it until it gets delivered. I'll give you some basic info, specs and a hint. Maybe you can guess.
2 channels, 50 watt, 6L6 power tubes. Sort of considered a sleeper amp. Great reviews from those who played/bought one, but poor product launch and it didn't sell very well. Only produced for 2 years. Company isn't known for high gain amps but this one is in that realm. Came in both 1x12 combo & head form. I got the head. My understanding is a bunch of combos were made, but only a couple hundred heads.

I was interested in a Warp X/T for a bit, but it didn't hold my interest long enough to stay on the wishlist. Thought they are pretty underrated amps and can do more than the Nu-metal they were marketed as.
 
yeah .... I saw that Machete pop up a while back too ..... I almost started a thread on it ... lol

Yeah, it has a couple of features that seem pretty interesting. Definitely an amp off the beaten path, especially for Fender Everything I looked up on it was pretty positive. The only bad thing people had to say was about the bad marketing and the combo was super heavy for a 1x12.

I wonder how that Notch knob works for tweaking in the mids? Did these have a spring reverb?

Reverb is digital.

The manual says Notch adjusts the mid frequency for American and British tonal frequencies. From clips I hear it as kind of a mid scoop/boost with a possible slight shift in the mid frequency. I cued up the video below to where the guy shows the extremes and a quick sweep through the knob.

This was Fender's attempt to appeal to the high gain player and not what you typically think of from them. I think that's one of the reasons it didn't do well. Fender traditionalists were like what the fuck is this thing, it's not a reissue Twin. Metal players didn't give it a chance because Fender doesn't do high gain.
