But I wanted share a drawing I made today for my wife. Thought it would be a nice departure from all the political BS. Feel free to make fun of it - I have thick skin.

She usually draws something on our seasonal chalk board but she is admittedly not a very good artist. Thought I'd surprise her.

That is awesome man!!! I dig it a lot.

It's absolutely a hobby for millions.

Unless one's a professional, painting is viewed as a hobby; it doesn't matter how many times one's done it. :dunno:
It's all good. Just messin' around. I mean, look at the thread title

If I really wanted it to stick for awhile I would have PM'd you, made a comment in the thread, and sent dick pics :D

I'm glad soooo many people got to enjoy my 'art'

I haven't used chalk in what? 40 years? So I was a little intimidated to say the least. That and it is going up in the dining room. Talk about pressure

What I learned right away, that will come in handy next time is that if you turn the chalk on its side you get that water color look in a much broader brush. Or should I say stroke. So next time I will do all the back ground colors first and then draw on top of it.

And the actual plastic flowers in the box I actually found afterward in a craft drawer. so the drawing was not based on those at all. Just coincidence actually that they look so close.
