The funniest thing about this thread and the other one about their first live show is the guys complaining about singers and drummers not wearing shirts

Jeezus guys lighten up and get a little security in your manhood
This is rock n roll...you'd think we have a bunch of homophobes on here or something :hys:

This guy woke up that morning knowing he was going to be singing in Jake's first big show in years. He blew it. No excuses.

Ease off the dude for criss-sake.

Ozzy was drunk n high for 30 years ... WTF ???

True. But I've never heard of Ozzy talking shit to the audience or stepping all over his guitarists solos.. Not saying never happened.

I'll wait and see how this guy does. I'll say this.... I still think its lame he blamed it on jet lag and or a sore throat.

If I could speak honestly with the guy....
Dude just own it. You were nervous and you struggle with booze at times. It got the best of you. It happpens so live and learn and move on because this could be a cool gig.

That said my gut says the enviroment he is in with his band mates will make it really hard to stay straight.

My first thought when I heard he had the gig. Jake is no example either....they may be bad for each other, or good for each other, guess we'll see.

From the soundcheck before the show.

Dude sounds way better here

That video shows him stay on the blue channel even for leads.

This dude reminds me of someone.... hmmm who could it be? Maybe Jake should save himself some time and go right to the source! That's right, Graham Bonnet lol!

Good on the singer for taking some responsibility for his poor performance.

I read Yngwie's book. He talked about Bonnet quite a bit. Seems like he liked him but he had a serious drinking problem. Was a mess.

That sounds about right.. Bonnet sounds exactly like this clown did in the clips from the other night. When you are loaded you shout ..that simple.

For the record, his statement was he fucked up, he'll do better next time. Someone in management gave the big long block of excuses

Ok, this didn't go as bad as i thought it might.. if this guy was not a burnout, he might actually do a decent job on this tune. You can hear some range here.... again though, he won't last if he is hit or miss night to night. Don Dokken still manages to make a career though!

Time will tell.... my gut tells me that what Chunktone posted will come to pass in that they'll end up having to get a new singer. I hope I'm wrong.

We're all only human.

Settle that singer down, lay off the boozy buffoonery, and it'll be alright.

Ya, I'd give him a second chance for sure.

Just leaving this here... From the show in San Diego a few days later...

Let's just say there's a distinct lack of David Lee Roth-esque yelling out mid sentence how drunk he is...
