Finally got the unit today

Have to say I was a little disappointed with the first preset , and thought ( here we go again ) but after I started going through them I was more impressed with each preset I did . Took me a couple of hours to go through all 383 presets . I was using headphones at first , then went through tthe computer monitors , and was blown away . Other effect units I have sound mediocre throught my monitors , but this sounded as good as an amp . I then started going through some old Nuendo tracks I had and recorded some patches , and the sound was pretty incredible .

Tomorrow I am going to try using this with a couple of amps in Stereo ( once I figure out how to disable the Poweramp and speaker cab ) ( I haven't even opened the instruction manual yet ) .Then after that I will use it with my Egnater as just FX unit and see how that goes.

Then to the church to see how it sounds through the Front of house .

I am afraid to try to update the firmware as I don't want to have anything wrecked .

I have to say that this is the only FX processor that I have ever bought that actually was better than I expected . I have had all the line 6 stuff from Pod , to the Axsys 212to the VettaII to the Pod XTL , and M13. I also had the Rocktron intelleflex , Rocktron ProphesyII , Tc Electronics G system , many , many more .

Anyways , I guess I will read the manual , and see if I can figure out how to make my own preset etc..

8.09 is out and has some cool new features and a redone Vintage Spring Reverb algorithm.

Was kind of wierd , there was no original packaging .Part of it was in bubble wrap ..I am wondering if I got a demo unit ...

Anyways , the thing sounds steller . Itried it today running stereo with 2 tube amps , by passing the cabs and poweramps .Tomorrow i am going to try to use it as an FX only with my Egnater

That's the way we ship them. Just the unit with foam end caps and some bubble wrap. We're a small outfit. We don't have the budget for fancy packaging.

Maybe once I get a little more familiar with this , I will attempt to do a firmware update .
Is it possible to do a global preamp off ? this way I could try all the FX with my Egnater preamp so I don't have to do it all pre preset.

Only kidding with you. It's a great piece of gear. Cliff did the best job ever done to modelers with that unit. Nothing can touch it as far as modelers go, and even buries a lot of amps

Yeah kind of funny . My son came in and I had the axe fx going through one of my tube amps , ( traynor ) and he couldn't believe the sound

nice ! look forward to see some videos of you integrating this with your set up at your church . ( one thing great about this is you can add full range sound ( power amp and cabs ) to the front of house , and have a separate output to your amp .

A Little overwhelming at first just going through the presets .. There are so many , and most sound great . I just wish they had a separate user bank , so I wouldn't have to over-write the presets .
Just remember to remove the cab sims ,and poweramp ( in the global ) menu if you are using the tube amp

I have had mine for a week I love it.

I recommend really playing with the Mic and Cab setting this make a huge difference.

Enjoy its a great unit.
