Wow guys, I am in a total state of shock with this amp! The Brown Eye and Custom 45 are both awesome. I like them both for different things. The Saturation Switch is cool also.... but I notice that there is a slight volume drop when you engage it?

Anyway, these mods are perfect to go along side my VariPlex. The Mojave Peacemaker is no longer peaceful! LOL I am hearing Def Leppard, Scorpions, Michael Schenker, etc on the Brown Eye. On the Custom 45; however, I am hearing Queensryche... which is a total shock! Dave, you kicked butt once again on my amps! Thanks a lot man!

Now I have to save up and get myself some Scumback M75 65watters. Maybe a new pickup for my main guitar along with a sustain block.

Yes the volume drop is the norm with the saturation switch in. I get that with my Friedman stuff, as well as my Camerons. I think you will probably not use the saturation switch much, but it is always nice to know you have the option if you wanted to throw the amp into autopilot mode;)

I agree, I don't think I am going to use it that much. Its such a relief to finally have that MARSHALL tone that I have been looking for. Its perfect for what I am wanting to do. What I am really liking is that the harmonics just sing. The amp is very responsive! But, it doesn't hide your mistakes! LOL And every note has a punch to it. I am still in shock!

Glad you are digging it. Hopefully my amp will be back soon. Dave said he would ship it Monday, but I am not sure if it went out.

 Congrats on getting your amp back.
I absolutely love the C-45 mod. You can get some wickedly sweet tones with that tone selected.

Sounds like you got a sweet amp now! I sent my JCM 800 50wt to Dave in Mid April, Getting the KS with SAT switch, FAT switch and EFX loop! Im hoping to get some news from Dave soon! Post some clips when you can!

I just nailed Ozzy's Bark At The Moon album tone today. Wow... I am seriously blown away by this amp! BTW, I didn't realize that I could use the Sat Switch on the Custom 45? Wow... thats plenty of gain!

Oh yeah! Its still has the brown sound. But it sounds more like a good old master volume Marshall from the late 70s. Gets some really good gain! Can't do clips for a while. I don't have anything to record with until I can get a new job.

I have a Marsha 100w with the BE, HBE, & FX Loop.. Im happy as hell with it just the way it is, but I am so damn curious about the C45, & Sat switch. I live in NY and have fear for shipping my amp out across the county because of all the horror stories I have heard about.. Would you recommend getting those mods or just leave be??
Thanks,
JA

The Custom 45 is my favorite. I like using the Sat Switch with the Custom 45 for a little of over the top gain. I don't have the Hairy Brown Eye... and to be honest, I don't need it!

Cool, I knew you were going to dig it based on your previous posts...I'm waiting on my second mod...just the BE with C45 on my Roccaforte head. It totally nails the bark at the moon tones, as well as Badlands stuff in general.
