Well, the Middle East is a bit of a stretch, every country that borders Iran hates them.
Distractions to what?
Trump has been crystal clear about his intentions, gave them the opportunity to end this with peace and they chose to get their ass handed to them just as he said would happen.
Where is the distraction?

None of his promises are happening. Nothing is more affordable. He’s backing off on deportations. He fighting with his boyfriend Elon.
The only thing he has done successfully is keep his supporters scared and angry
