Who made those if we may ask? Bartlett?

They are two builders located in Israel, with so much talent! They build-
59 burst and other replicas (Strat, Tele, SG, Basses and a lot of the good stuff) for several years for the "need to know" ppl around and abroad.
BUT,
In the past few months, they were decided to stop build replicas, and decided to continue their journey with building guitars of their own instead. they working on some originals models and some more elaborate interpretations for S, T and LP style (like GIL Y does or Bartlett).
i hope to share with you some new guitar they are building for mw in the near future.

Congrats! It doesn't get any better than a well made 59 Replica that came from the bench of a good luthier and not off the production line in Nashville.

I agree with that fully.
I was testing a lot of "new" production LPs (from the 90th to this day) and a lot of vintage LP's from the 50th and 60th.. though the latter were more expansive then my cars combine (59=house). The new ones just doesn’t cut it for me when you get a real fine replica next to them (I had Gil Yaron and some others from TT Guitars to compare)
The reclaim Honduran mahogany, the eastern maple, Brazilian rosewood, hand wand PU to exact specs PAF and the attention to details… just screams!

are those the Two Tone guys?

Jewish Les Pauls, what a concept.

No worries Ur guitars RAWK ...

Congratulations!! Great looking guitars. Hopefully they will give you much enjoyment. That is what it's all about anyway.

Not sure what the Gibson bashing is about though. The Gibson Reissues are killer guitars and IMO a great guitar is a great guitar.

It may be read like I’m bashing, but I’m totally not!
i love Gibson, but i think (2 things):
1 - They are a bit “downhill” from the 90th...
2 - Although their collectors choice, VOS etc. are very cool guitars! they are no match for a proper replica Done right by some great luthier around the world. Jew or not
i.e. Bartlett, Gil.y, max, TT guitars and many others who succeeded...
That my 2c - nothing more :-)

sorry if i stepped on someone toes, not my intention!
You guys been great all along and I am happy to share that with you!

No toes stepped on. I think it's great that you love your guitars. It's the way it should be.

I just personally don't consider the Gibsons to not be a match though. The Reissues Gibson is putting out at the moment are some really amazing guitars.

The replicas done by the great luthiers like Bartlett, Yaron and the guys that did yours are more Historically accurate but playability and tonally I think the Gibsons are every bit as good.

I've had my hands on a few Bartletts and Yarons. Very nice killer guitars but personally the Gibson Reissues from 2013 and 2014 that I have played hang with them or even surpass them tonally in a lot of cases. Just my opinion.

If you are going for more "perfect" historical accuracy the replica's are the way to go since Gibson isn't quite there on some of the historical accuracy points. Otherwise I think Gibson is doing a killer job in the playability and tonal competition.

Very respect comment.
I salute you!

i was comparing some Gibson guitars to those we mentioned, and yes, like you said – the historic details are more nailed in those luthiers guitars, as the proper wood for a great Lp, like the 50th ones that actually what I was after –
the main surprise that I found - how good they are played out of production – sound and playability wise – I was overwhelmed! That woody, top end and bass, note separation etc.
So, reclaimed 70 years Honduras mahogany, beautiful eastern maple, 100 years Brazilian rosewood, etc and with the highest standard of playability?
Il take it :) for 8K~
No bashing on Gibson at all!!! but to get closer to that, you need to get A collectors choice models, or to get your cars\house sold for some vintage one ;-)
Just my opinions.

(sorry about my bad English, I was trying hard to accurate express myself, so I hope you can get the meanings, more from my intentions then my grammar :student: )

Congrats! It really looks like a superb guitar! And I agree with you on your other comments and Steve K... there truly is no comparison between a well made replica and a Gibson 59 reissue. CC or whatever... Its hard to imagine but, there is a difference, and it is not a small difference...

Both of those guitars look amazing! The tops and the bursts look phenomenal. It's been a while since I last saw a top that had striations like the cherry sunburst! Looks like a great build!

One strange question: is the binding around the body a different thickness than a Gibson RI, or is it an optical illusion in the pictures?

Beautiful!

I'm not an LP player, they just don't feel right for me.
But I sure do appreciate their beauty and TONE!

Just wondering, as these are not made by Gibson, what is written on the head stock?
You don't show them in any picts, which got my curiosity up.
I'm thinking it's "Gibson", but I'm not positive.

If it does have "Gibson" on it, does the Gibson company have anything negative to say about it?
