Kind of hear some NIN in there. Cool tune. Throw some vocals on that bad boy! :)

Neat. I hear NIN more than Ministry or KMFDM (you didn't mention them but industrial....)

Nice tune. Takes me back a bit! I can hear a little VAC in there, maybe a little vintage KMFDM. If you threw some guitar riffs over it I could see the Chemlab connection too.
What did you use for the sounds on the track?

Cool. I like this genre very much, I think some of the synth choices could be made to sound more modern, or some THICK guitars on there would take it home. But very nice job

i just started to listen to VAC last year.

1st tune has Heavyocity's DAMAGE for some drums along with Apples LOGIC 9 ULTRABEAT .i just layered drums on top of each other.i like to start with a basic beat, then add hi-hat in a wierd rhythm and add on from there.
and the synths are all LOGIC 9 instruments.

Tune 2 is all LOGIC 8.
drums are APPLE LOOPS incuded in LOGIC.guitar sounds are Logic 8 guitar sounds and maybe some GUITAR RIG 4.but i doubt it.

zero production on either.i just mixed them quick to get the instrument levels to gel.

as stated, theres no production value on anything.all stock sounds.instruments cant be any more modern.
Logic 9 is the latest apple software.
but i can see that adding some production would definitely spruce things up for sure.

thx for listening and chiming in.

i also use NATIVE INSTRUMENTS KOMPLETE 8.

KOMPLETE 9 was just recently released.

i also have a sound bundle from the band DAWN OF ASHES that ive made into instruments in LOGIC but i havent dove into writing with them.

i need more free time!!

hers a pic of the session

When I say modern, doesn't have to mean how recent the synths came out, most contain many different sounds even from various decades. I think the sound choices could be slightly different giving more of a modern feel, as of now it reminds me of sounds from the early 90's. just a suggestion. I am pretty particuliar about my synth sounds though.

being im way more guitarist than keyboardist.im not so picky with synth sounds.i know a lot of the newer synths dont sound that good after A4,supposedely.

as far as designing my own synth sound...i have the software, but really dont wanna spend the time doing something im sure everyone else is better at than i.i really dont have that much free time.plus with all the software i have, whatever sounds i could make by accident,i'm sure are already available. :)

I hear some links to very early Ministry stuff here. Before The Land of...
