My friend has a Uberschall Rev 2 (I think that’s what’s you meant, not revision blue), so I’ve played it several times and AB’ed it with some of my amps and his other amps. I’ve played the other Uber revisions as well (Twin Jet, Blue, Orginal, Other Rev 2’s). Nice amp for sure, but I wouldn’t say it blows away the old rectifiers. I guess it can for certain tastes/styles, but I think the old rectifiers also have certain things they do better than the Uber’s
He has also a rev F and some triples (forgot which version triples). To my ears I like that the Uber is tighter, more saturated and feels easier to play, and better for leads and single note heavy riffs, but there are other amps that I feel are still better for leads and tight palm mutes than the Uber. What I think his Rev F does better than the Uber is sounding more raw, biting and growly/gritty on powerchords and more organic overall. The Uber overall sounded smoother and more polished
I used to have an Atomica modded SLP that sounded amazing (prototype for the Atomica) (sold it not too long ago) and when I compared it with his Uber I felt it outdid what his Uber excelled at and more (bigger sounding, tighter, better leads, more raw, organic, growly, angry powerchords). He himself has an amazing sounding Cameron José modded SLP that I liked even more than that Atomica I had. I also overall preferred my IIC+ and CCV when AB’ed with his Uber, but there was less overlap in tone with those amps
I thought his Uber Rev B and Rev F Dual Rectifier both sounded very good, but when I compared them with my IIC+ and Atomica I had at the time I felt that they wouldn’t be keepers if I were to own either. I did want his Jose for a while though. I sold though my Atomica and Aldrich modded Marshall’s since getting my Blueface VH4
