It sounded great in stereo. I did some tweaking at rehearsal (besides dialing it in). There are still a few things I want to tweak, but I got it to cover 90% of what it did before, just with analog pedals instead of digitally. The compression and boost was way better. The Rat came out pretty similar to how I dial the amps in already, just a little fatter and with a different upper mid and treble response. The lead boost was more fluid. The phaser was more luscious, and I liked the digital phaser sounds. I can't wait for the new Anniversary Big Stones Analog Phaser from Griffin that will take that spot when I get it.
Then there's the Beez Nutz. I hadn't tried it on guitar until now (I know, I'm ashamed to say). I used it completely different to how I use it on bass, but I dialed in a usable setting and I love it. I put it on two of the patches, keeping in mind I can turn it off if I use the patch for something else. I jammed on it for the warmup free jam, and really liked how I set it up on a patch with a notched eq on it (like a cocked wah). I like it with a chorus on it (always have, even on bass) and debated using it on a old song. I decided to stay original, but really want to use that sound on something, so it's already inspirational.
I'm happy I did this, even if I did double the weight of my pedalboard. It sounds great. Let's see how I feel about it after a few gigs this summer.
