it just seems logical for me....not having the disposable income to buy all the amps i want (i know, im not the only one LOL!)
i think im now saving for a kemper and a nice tube power amp to go with it....instead of the amp i was goin to get.

i know they'r not DEAD nuts on, but, close enough for me to tweak and have fun with is fun in and of itself....and everyone that i read about on here that has one, loves it.

i've already ran the idea by the wife and explained the financial pros and cons lol...and she was on board with it for an after christmas purchase.

Yeah, if you want a lot of variety it is pretty cool. And if the wife is on board it's a no brainer. ;)

I think it's about the only product I have ever bought that completely 100 percent lives up to the hype, Atleast for me, and apparently others as well. As far as being dead on or not, I think you will be more than pleasantly surprised. My Herbert profiles are completely indistinguishable from my real Herbert, not a soul has been able to tell the difference. Add that, with all the onboard Eqing, the effects, ability to change cabs, play profiles miced through extremely expensive preamps etc, that to me, that is worth 10 fold the asking price of the unit.... It really is that good. Ive had mind since April and the honeymoon hadn't died, only seems to get more intense overtime. Never once have I thought about buying another amp since owning it.

What he said, except since February for me. I'm considering selling some amps, never would ahve even thought about that before the Kemper rolled around. I've even considered buying a few amps then flipping them once I got them profiled :)

I've had mine for about 3 weeks and I'm having a lot of fun with it. As far as raw amp tone goes.... for me it's the best digital unit I've owned.

im waitin on v2, I want this thing in rack form then im sold..

I'm waiting for v2 as well, I'm sure the price on the v1 will go down and I'll get the travel radio then ;).

At home, I play my Kemper more than any other amps/preamps I own. For recording, it's fantastic. Since getting the Kemper earlier this year, I haven't mic'd a cabinet. A special thanks goes out to Pete Turley (Stratotone) for making the best profiles I've heard yet. I don't think I would ever use it live, though. It just doesn't respond the way my real amps do. I'm not saying it can't be done. But I like the "organic" feel of a single channel real tube amp...especially with the way I'm always playing around with my guitar's volume/tone knobs. Although I don't think the Kemper is "there," yet. I still highly recommend getting one, because it is fantastic.

Which is why I use the Two-Notes LIVE. my amp into it's load box with IRs. I get the best of both worlds. Really don't understand why more people aren't doing this

I've had mine for about a couple of months now and really dig it. I haven't turneed any of my real amps on since I got the Kemper. :D

I would love to tinker with one for an hour. I had an Axe FX but it was too much for me. The Kemper is less "tweaky" by all accounts, so it might suite me better. The Axe FX sounded great and was super inspiring to play at home for recording and low volume practice. I had trouble incorporating it into a live rig, but I don't think I'd go that route with a Kemper. I need 1-2 good tube amps for band use and a Kemper at home, that'd be an ideal setup for me if the unit is as simple to use as everybody says.

This.

I sold my only amp and cab for it and regret nothing. Made my new record using it exclusively and use it for pretty much everything I do. Just insane.

Is this what you are using? http://www.two-notes.com/en/hardware/torpedo-live/

I am very familiar with attenuators, but never knew something like this existed. That's why I love forums, learn something new everyday. :)

Yes, but it is a strict load box - no attenuation. It is wonderful, and I can play my own amps, set it up for FRFR, cabs, slave, whatever I need for the gig.

Nice...I'll have to check out that Torpedo Live. Thanks for the tip.

Bingo to all of the above. I sold off my amp, cab and most of my pedals. I get extremely close if not dead nutz on the amps that I have profiled, borrowed, downloaded, etc.

It really is different than anything out there. Don't be afraid of using this live with the right FRFR. I borrowed a friends RCF NX 12 monitor and it was just incredible! Totally going to pick up one of those very shortly!

I love the fact that I don't have a lot to carry to a gig and even better when I am doing some contract work at a studio, I just bring my guitar of choice and the Kemper and I'm good to go.

On paper an Axe-Fx or even a Pod HD should have way more to offer than the Kemper.
I must be missing the boat here. What is Kemper's claim to fame?

Pretty much.
I've just (for the first time in 20 years) have been really happy with my current rig so I haven't kept up with the latest and greatest.
Lately I've been thinking about buying some kind of modeler rig for gigs and home recording. I'd like an Axe-Fx II (I had the standard a few years ago) but the price is wayyy out of my budget. The Pod HD500 is what I'll probably end up with but now I'm reading a lot of rave reviews about this Kemper thingy.
