Thats great Anthony. We will be making the reservations on May 15th in Fountain Valley at 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. for June 7th. May 15th is the earliest they can make reservations. Hopefully you will know for sure before May15th.

will do!

Hey can you list out what amps you could bring also? Thanks! Its so we can figure out what amps will be doubling up so we can get almost 1 of every diff amp in there without people having to bring too many

I think I'll probably bring my Marshall 78' JMP 100w with a 72' 4x12 Cab. The Cab is optional.

thanks

Awesome man, I'd sure like to A/B you cab to my 1960BX - I've been wondering how much tone I'm missing out on by not using a vintage cab.

Yep, very good call out. I have a BX as well and you will definitely hear a difference even with the same speakers. Not that the vintage one is better, but does have darker/warmer and a little more spongier feel to it.

I put Steve (Sah5150) as confirmed. Picked up the Bogner Cab from him today and he said he would be able to make it

i won't know for a while if i can make it....pending work things may interfere...if i make it i would be down to video some of the shenanigans in true mentoneman form :)

some tips....2 hours is not enough time....3-4 hours good...but you will want to take a break for hearing sake at the top of the hour...just a 5 minute step outside to recharge the brain. beverages are a plus.
some rooms have drum kits, PA...you could have some backing tracks on an Ipod for jamming sake and testing with a virtual band environment

oh yeah, have some sort of game plan....one guy could demo clean and classic amps for a while, then hand off to another cat for heavy weedlie whee goatee stuff, then another for dumbly dooright stuff

multi outlet strips, folding chairs, feather boas and chrome diapers...oh my bad, digital jams won't be there so no need (just bustin yah digi...i had too!) :D

i might be down, i have to see what i have going on that day. school should be over though. i'll probably be over in torrance that week. here is what i have:

DSL100
1960BX
Gibson Power Stealth

edit: it seems as though someone is already bringing the same stuff i have so i don't really want to be redundant. i also have my new breedlove ad25/sm if someone wants to try it :thu:

We are currently looking at 6 hours, but can go more. I am definately looking to suck back some suds. Are they strict about that Or does it have to be water and cola ? Backing tracks will definately be cool.

No clue, I hope so! If they allow it we can all chip in and buy a few cases :D

Hey everyone, just got a PM from Mark Cameron. He is offering his shop as a possible location for our Amp Fest!

If you need a place...You could use my shop. I'm in Sun Valley near Burbank right off the 5. You can be as loud as you want all day and night

Mark

We probably need to work out further details and stuff, etc. but Major props to Mark for offering his place! So if this is a definite possibility for us, would everyone be interested in doing it here instead? I know I would want to. :D If we can test out his new line of amps that would definitely kick major ass

That will work too. The only problem we may have now is more me may want to come. How big is his place and how many can we fit. This way we no where to cut off. I know we have about 12 interested and about 4 unconfirmed.

I sent a PM to Mark Cameron asking him respond to this thread so everyone can get more information regarding his place and size limitations. Hopefully all works out and we get to test out his new line
