"I tried drop C on a regular Telecaster"

I came across this video after having recently tuned my Strat to drop C. Weird, almost as if my phone is listening to me or tracking my habits...
Anyways I've been finding it's basically the most ideal tuning for Fenders. Or DGCFAD of course. Gets those lows popping and shaves off some of the abundant highs, widens the mids out.
This guy gets some sweet tones and actually delves into some of my own off hand playing styles, although much better executed lol.
I like the playful southern licks, as well as the spacious chords that can be combined with heavy riffing.

I love Drop C tonally. It can also be fun to play classic rock type riffs in this tuning just for something different. If you ever get really bored with a certain riff, try it in a lower tuning. My Strat is almost always in standard E (for obvious reasons maybe) so I need to give this a whirl @D-Rock as the sharper lower and rolled off highs is what these lower tunings need sometimes.

After listening to more Enter Shikari, I was pleasantly surprised to see it's a Tele in Drop C.

I'll have to give this a try.
