I've shied away from the idea of single coils due to noise, but I realize my mistake currently.
I bet a humbucker-sized dimarzio p90 would be pretty sweet in one of them bad boys.

Frank is one of my closest friends. He uses DiMarzio Virtual Vintage Strat sized pickups. His are the very early models. He prefers those to the newer models that DiMarzio makes these days. They can sometimes be found on Reverb and eBay.

DiMarzio makes the noise cancelling Fantom P90 in Soapbar, Dog Ear and humbucker sizes. Someone here recently posted about DiMarzio P90's that are true single coil and they liked those a lot.

Love the Detroiter in the bridge of my SG, but mostly use the BB1 neck pup in split mode. I've often thought of putting a P90 in there. I'm positive it would be a good move, after getting a Tele with P90s. Perhaps a noisless p90 from Mojotone, Lollar, Fralin or Anderson?
