Just more peaceful protests. This is my last week in this city. It's time to get out. It can't get better until it hits rock bottom.

I went to a train museum today with my kids and there was this bad smell in the air. I didn't know until now that it was cars that were burning downtown. The smoke went all the way to Burbank.

I feel like everyone is missing the real gem in this thread.

Its going to be a hot summer......

Houston also held a protest but high temperatures kept the numbers down...supposedly there is another in the works soon that from what I'm hearing is going to try to kick things off with some of the usual suspects in support of it

Back in LA...

This is ridiculous....... this was a 3rd straight day of riots out in the open of a major city in America...... in the meantime the Governor of CA and the Mayor of Los Angeles were prepared to do nothing as chaos and terror began to engulf the streets and parts of the city........ threatening the surrounding area, the rest of the state and the country.....

President Trump did the right thing and had he not sent in the National Guard to do basic things like defend Federal Buildings for one and Federal Agents..... things could have gotten so much worse right after Los Angeles has just suffered a fire and a real tragedy. The Police cant do everything on their own in these type of situations and I am sure they were more grateful to the President than Governor Newsom was for bringing in the National Guard to keep the streets in America safe for regular people, families and local businesses and communities.

People always have a right to protest peacefully and peaceful protest but yesterday and the last 3 days were no peaceful protest and the situation in the city and CA was spiraling out of control......

One may disagree with what the President did but IMO what he did is to maintain the peace, law and order in Los Angeles, CA and America and the United States. More people in Los Angeles and CA are more grateful to President Trump for what he did than Governor Newsom.

Had the President not taken action IMO things could have gotten much worse and Governor Newsom should be thankful and despite however bad it was yesterday much bigger disasters were avoided thanks to the President taking action to keep the peace, law and order and defend people and public property and keep Americans and America safe.

IMO People have a right to peaceful protest and protest peacefully..... that is a basic right of the Constitution and a sacred right......

But anyone can agree what was happening over the last 3 days was far from peaceful...... and whatever the case may be...... open violence and terror on the streets of America is not the answer or solution to anything and more people than not can agree with that :dunno:

And with the situation quickly spiraling out of control and deteriorating..... Governor Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass doing nothing over the last 3 days until it was too late.... The President did the right thing and had the President not taken action things in Los Angeles, CA and the country could have gotten much much worse.
