Obviously not the forum to get into it, but scientists I thought said that these hurricanes have nothing or rather, are not directly the result of global warming. The whole global warming thing goes both ways.... yes there is no doubt that we have had some effect on the environment but how MUCH is the real question and historically there have always been drastic dips in temperature and ice and sea levels. I mean, parts of continents disappeared throughout history when there was no talk of global warming. The point I am trying to make is that it is often a very convenient blanket statement to make regarding "global warming" and it is used across all political and social media to serve a purpose. We know that some of the data they compiled in favour of global warming was fudged or inaccurate..so are we really getting the full story? Anyway, this doesn't excuse Trump or any other elected official for blowing it off, but I think it is essential to really look at it as a whole and look at all sides of the argument. It seems that if you question it, you are attacked for being ignorant. In all of this, let's also not forget that the earth is getting older..there are bound to be changes. As for pollutants.., methane gas from all the damn cows we eat and the land we clear to grow corn to feed those cows is also putting a huge dent into the perceived issue besides just coal. Not many politicians like to go up against that one.. wonder why? Because you take on Dairy or Meat industry and you are as good as done.
