Reall nice work! Happy to see someone build an amp the real way!
Do you mind if I ask where you find these tiny turrets that hold the relay sockets? I've been searching for these without luck.

/Henric
thanks! If I had to do it all again, I would go with a slightly larger turret like my BE100 build. I will try to find the turret model.

Nice! Get some rest, and bring that SOB over soon so we can punish my neighbors   BTW I've got spare relays if you need.

Do you have
G5V2-H1-DC12 - 12v high sensitivity Omrons? It will be Monday if I have to get them from mouser.

Thanks
Scott

Looks fantastic! The WIMAs just always look odd to me but the important thing is how they sound in the amp. Looking forward to hearing how it turned out.

I also need to get it in gear and get something done, I think you've done two amps in the time I've been working on one (really simple) pedal build lol

Depending on what you like, I find the Wimas have more mid range.

Regarding the amp build, it looks great. I don’t see the hum dinger?

i jus wish they made axial leaded caps. It's not exactly ideal to solder radial leads into turrets and I have to put more effort into spacing.

In all seriousness I have no idea how you pulled off some of those solder joints on those caps looking at the pics lol

I slight bend the leads outward so that the don't fall loosely into the turrets. The lead being bent outward have tension against the inside of the turrets. I can adjust them so that I have room to get the solder tip between the cap and turret and flow solder nicely in place. It takes time but I have used this method quite a bit.

Ok cool that makes sense and you can see the gap and joint at that angle, thanks!

Okay, quick clip from last night. Only had 10 minutes to try it out and the amp is ridiculously flexible, so these are very crude setting like the manual uses as a starting point. I have since asked Psychodave for some settings and will get some proper clips up with some better setting and someone else playing. They next clips will likely be less dark and more mods.

Sounds great!! IF you do ever decide to sell it for reasonable hit me up with a PM!

Very cool and sounds great. How's the taper on MV? I know on my CCV it had that tipping point where it was like a light switch. Unfortunately it was right at stage volume so it was a bitch trying to adjust while I was performing. One little adjustment and I was melting faces in the first few rows.

I am using reverse audio taper 1M alpha pots and the taper seems seems good. Obviously the volume gets loud quickest with no diode clipping, but very smooth taper with the clippers engaged

Care to share BOM ? Very nice very clean work there !

Not going to share schematics or BOM other than chassis and cosmetic stuff. My source for the brad era CCV was kind generous enough to work with my and out of respect I don't want to make the schematic public at risk of devaluing the original. That and you get the Billy Blades types that ruin it for everyone. I build as a hobby and have not intentions of trying to capitalize off someones hard work and unfortunately other will. You can see other already doing so. The copy an amp a few changes and claim it's there own design.
