For those of you on here that own a Steve Stevens 100, here a setting for the gain channel that on mine slays!!! Sound really good and it's one of the few amps that I know of that you can do this. It's pretty simple. Here's the settings: presence 6.5, every thing else dimed.. Wide open. That's bass middle treble gain.. Of course the volume knob is your call. Ears start to implode at around 11oclock. Fantastic sound. I recall EVH saying in an interview that in his whiskey a gogo days, every knob on his Marshall was turned all the way up. Try doing this with just about any other amp and it's welcome to Mudville!!!
Two thumbs way up!!

That's true for a SLP. Not so sure about a Friedman though. Hey, but if it works for you

Oh, it works and then some. I'll try and put up a clip soon to demonstrate.
Doest thou ownith a SS 100

Steve's setting is presence at like 6 and treble 6 to 7 and bass and mid on 10.

How high does he run the gain?

On my SS gain channel I run the gain on 10, everything else on 7.

I kinda prefer that setting too. Might be my speakers, BM-75s, but I can't dime the mids and get a good sound.
