Just picked up a DF Ampeg VL1002!

Awesome tones, I am blown away!
It does need a bit of cleaning to get the scratchiness out of the pots- expected for an amp this age. I'm not sure if I'm capable of this job, I have no skills...regardless, this is a fun and inspiring amp to jam on!
 
It was on the bay, but then I noticed it was listed in my area by a guy I knew on forums for years....bing bang boom!
 
Before buying, I searched a lot and only saw this one. Someone asked Dave if he could mod his Lee Jackson head, and his reply was he could because he modded an Amped VL before. I assume it is this one.

Sort of like an HBE with Recto & Slo characteristics (as it is described), it is a huge upgrade over my previous stock VL amps I played a few of them from 2004-2008). There's a gain switch added on the back: 1 side is a litlle less gain than a typical HBE, the other is a bit more. I was working on an audio/video clip today, but in the meantime, here's a kickass track from the original owner:

^Yes, it bounced from Brian>Ned>Me
I think Ned only had it for a few weeks, but he is well stocked with hi level Marshall heads

Yeah.....Ned is a Madman when it comes to these style amps. :lol: :LOL:
