I'm bored with gear...

Having not gigged in years, sometimes messing with gear, buying/selling etc is the only thing that keeps it interesting for me. But the way I see it, there's a lot worse things you could spend your time and money on...

Guitars are still my EVH and Silhouette Special. Just one amp...a '72 Super Bass that I just got (replaced my latest Budda)...

I'm gassing real bad for a strat though. Looking forward to doing our taxes, too. :D

Of course the other side of the coin is, not gigging just makes it that much harder to justify spending on gear...I've gone from 5 guitars and three amps down to two guitars and one amp in the past year or so.

Hows the SuperBass working out for ya? Haven't seen a 16Ohm HP yet.

Hate Myself for Loving You - Joan Jett
Play that Funky Music - Wild Cherry
Me and Bobby McGee - Janis Joplin

That's three of the songs we play. :( to be honest though if its a good crowd we can still have a lot of fun playing it.

Okay, you caught me. I admit that I like the Wild Cherry song, because... well... it's catchy. And I dig the Janis song because (as I said in another post) it allows me to do some off the cuff country wanking that I've never even tried before. Believe it or not, but I can pull it off A LITTLE. I whip out the Tele and it's kinda fun. :)

We play a lot of songs like that with a female singer. We play country songs as well, but I can't chicken pick to save my life.

Play some dubstep or drum-n-bass songs on your guitar.
It helps with situations like this.
