I'm going to gig tonight with my Mark II Coliseum because..

I've had that thought in passing a couple times, and I think you're right.

Although, everyone has google on their phones nowadays, so maybe it isn't as incognito as I would wish.

Either way, I don't let it out of my sight at gigs because it's obviously irreplaceable.

But the (admittedly) few local fans deserve the best I can do to make the show kickass ?‍♂️
If someone stole it and tried to sell it online in the US, it would be easy to find.

Good going... you must be in TX or FL... I'm in Ontario, Canada... still locked down until June 2 (except Walmart, Costco and the usual commie suspects).

That's for sure. My Larry is a literal 1 of 1 from the mid 90s, and there's no way it could be confused with anyone elses Larry....and there aren't a ton of them in the first place in the US. Even so, I have it insured for a massive amount of money.

I have a second one being built right now, to have a backup.

Either way though it's worth gigging it, even considering all that. And I imagine it's the same for other guys with rare 2C++, colis, blueface diezels, etc.

I bought it to make and play music on, not to reside in some white collar guys' curio cabinet.

Most brutal live tone I've ever heard was a Mark IV into a Mesa halfback 4x12 and Ampeg VH-140C into an Amp 4x12.

I will never forget the sheer force of that rig. Tube and SS together is amazing.

DanTravis good on 'ya, man! I agree. The good stuff is meant to be heard. I'd LOVE to hear a Larry live!!

Alright guys, here's the set!! Hope you can all gig soon to, and for now you can live vicariously!! I'm in Western Colorado. We're a fairly independent bunch out here.

Honestly after playing a gig with a Coliseum it'd be really hard to bring anything else out. In the venue at volume it's fukin' amazing. While yes it can get so loud that it buries the drummer (and everything really), at appropriate gig volume it's more about the GIRTH than the volume. It's the THICKNESS!!

P.S. If you just want to watch one song I'd skip to 7:03. That said the second half of the recording was from a different angle that picked up the girth a little better.

Sounds great man! Fuck yeah, good to see someone else bring out the big guns and use this stuff like it was meant to be used.

I don't know if I can get it on video, but next time I gig it, I will try and share with the class! It, like a coli, is a truly visceral experience at stage volume.

Why not?!

I’ve run a stereo rig with my Coliseum on the left channel, and my Triple Rec on the right.

But, Pre-Pandemic, I was running the Mark IV.

Nice dude! You’ve got a great rhythm section. I dug it. Rocked pretty hard.

Thanks man! I started singing a couple years ago after we couldn't find a singer. I figure for the time being anyway, this is metal, so it's fine. :haha:

Haha! That would happen to me in several bands I played in. Nobody else would do it, so I’d have to. Your voice is just fine, it just seemed like you guys needed a 4th up there to engage the crowd while you guys do your thing. The music was very cool. ?

True story :) I wouldn't mind a 4th that was a killer lead player. Hard to find the right guy!

That's some proper guitar tone, wow ! Great ! Love the Mandatory Suicide cover !

Thanks Jack! We covered Seek & Destroy too, and the tone was choice for that one, but no one recorded it.
