The Katanas are really good for the price, but they don't have the warmth of a tube amp.

There are many Tube amps you can get that sound great at low volume, TV volume, like 75-85dB.
You just need to get one with a good Master Volume.
All of my videos are recorded at TV volume and all of my amps sound really good.

If you want to stay around $500 you can't beat a Marshall DSL40CR.
I even had a Marshall DSL5CR which sounded good, but it really was missing the extra 2 channels of the DSL40CR.

If you want to spend more, you can't go wrong with a Friedman JEL-20 or Soldano Astro 20.
I have both and love them both.

All of the tube amps I mentioned need no help from pedals, all you need is a Reverb/Delay in the loop, then just plug in and rock out.

For low cost tube combo amps, I like both my DSL40CR and Origin 50C.

For around $600 you can find a used Fender Super Twin; I have two.
