You fucking kidding me? Fishmans and a Floyd Rose 1000 (at half the price of the PRS piece of shit) on a Victory? Gimme.

Full lineup includes a Baritone, V, SG, and LP.

And a god-awful video with about 30 seconds of playing at the end:

This is the kinda stuff I dig Epiphone doing. Very cool to have a Bari and the Victory models now as well. Trems galore - love it.

Didn't check the pricing. Oof. Somehow not surprised though.
Who do they plan to sell these to? Who would actually jump feet first into that purchase without at least checking reverb or ebay first? Maybe I'm off base but I've never bought a guitar without checking the used market prices. Most people don't play what they have so there are plenty of like new axes out there for a lot less than new. Epiphone seems to have massively overestimated what the average hobbyist will be willing to pay for their guitars, smh.

For fuck sake im so sick of worn satin finishes! Its another cheap cop out and I cant stand them. Gimme a high glossy polish any day. I bought a new prophecy SG just two years ago for $999. These are way overpriced. Though I do really like the victory shape

for what you get, I don't think the pricing is too bad.

I had a Gibson '61 SG Standard in white, then got the Epi Inspired by Gibson Custom '63 SG Custom; it was $1499, I got 15% off and had points at MF.

It has a maestro vibrola and three Gibson USA Custombuckers, bound ebony fretboard with real MOP block inlays, CTS pots, Mallory caps, Grover tuners, Gibson open-book headstock and a vintage-style hardshell case. One of these pickups new is $289; and a set of two is $499, so three would be about $750.

I kept the Epi, and sold the Gibson standard. A new Gibson '63 Les Paul Custom SG, is over $6K

On the topic of pricing, I go back and forth between "this is where we are" and "well, the epiphone futuras were $899."
But Schecter, Jackson, LTD, and the like all have 2k imports (or close to it). So this is indeed kinda where we are.

FWIW, I am excited about the Victory I posted in the OP, but in reality, I'd never use the FR, so it's a no-go for me.

This is the second thread I've made about Epiphones and I've had absolutely 0 intent on buying one lol.
