That tone kills! The tricky parts have already been mentioned. Volume and technique are key. If you miss or only partially hit a note, everyone will know.

The stock ones do sound just like that. Speakers, guitars and pickups make a HUGE difference in what you get out of it though.

I have played one through a 68 cab with a quad of pre rola greenbacks and it's amazing. Every NMV Marshall Ive ever owned has been mushy as hell with the bass over 3 and everything else on 10...this thing is made to run it all wide open and sound killer.

Metroamp is a terrific company. I will be building one of their kits at some point. That 12000 series with the built in voltage drop to 90v is brilliant!

Damn that is the closest EVH tone I have heard to date!

Sounds great!!

Well, I own pre rola greenbacks etc, etc, etc. I own a real 10 series plexi and several PTP Marshalls. Heck , I have played Georges amps at the NY amp show and NONE of them sound like the amp in that clip. If Georges had sounded like that, I would have bought one in a second and there would be 100's of clips up with that same sound by 100's of different people ;) Just my .02 based on owning and hearing the amps in person. ;)

Turmoil has been in my house and heard a few of my amps. Sure they sound good, but nothing like the original clip.

and i GREATLY appreciated hearing your sick marshalls! hearing them was just like :D

I'm actually heading down to Nashville in March for a few days and while i'm there i'm hoping to try out one of the Metro 12000 amps. I'm going to try it with a bunch of different boosts, cabs, and guitars. i'm quite excited for march

Just letting ya know, the 1976 JMP I've got up for sale will pull off those tones with ease! It is one of the most versatile mods I've ever had too, absolutely full of options. I really don't wanna sell it, but it's too much like my Cameron HG Jose, and I'll have trouble getting my money back if I sold that one, so that's why it's up for sale. I'm gonna PM this same statement to 'turmoil'. Gonna do some clips tomorrow or Weds. at the latest.

sounds killer, the New Reeves Super 78 EVH amp sounds great too and is less dough, just sayin...

That said I would get a Marsha from Dave Friedman.
