The guy is one of the most un-interesting players ever. All that speed and nothing to say with it.

I used to think the same thing about Chicago. Then in 1985, I moved to LA. Things were just at a completely different level here.

I wasn't aware this was something people debated. I can assure you no one on the west coast ever debated this, not when it came to the rock scene and influential guitarists.

You get EVH, Rhoads, Lynch, Lee and Di Martini to start...but you have to take Mick Mars and CC too, which should count against some of the other guys...lol

Yea, I agree. I grew up in Vermont and I saw Vice several times, but only after Impelliteri left. They had a guy by the name of Jim Michaels (I think) who was great. I remember him saying he used to take lessons from McAlipine.JerEvil":t29833m5 said:New England as a whole was just awesome back then for music. I moved away in 1994. It's funny. Bands I used to open for still play. There was a dude named Anthony Bambino that was a good shredder in a band called Spoiled Rotten that was pretty killer. He went on to do some albums and make a little noise I believe.paulyc":t29833m5 said:Eastern Ma was great too, with Nuno from Extreme and Paul Di Bartolo from Bang and later Spread Eagle. There was also Gene Ditrina from Mass.
