How is it possible that he sounds so great with only those standard marshalls, a guitar, and a wah.. ? Oh yeah, talent.

One of my favorites and would probably toss away everything I know on guitar just to have that vibrato and phrasing.
Because he's great, and standard stock Marshalls can be great also.

been trying to figure out that vibrato for years...wonder if he bends exactly to pitch first and then shakes the string...anyone know?

One of my favorite players , the guy makes it looks so easy till I try copy his vibe and its not so easy LOL. I know he did a tour with Robin McAualey (singer n the vid) in 2012 or 13 wish he could have done another few albums with him .

Th first album I ever bought, way back when I was a teenager, was Force It. The second album I ever bought was Phenomenon. I haven't been the same since. I wore the grooves off those albums trying to learn the songs. 40 years later and I'm still trying to learn them. :)

Michael Schenker always has been, and always will be, number one for me. Nobody can match his tone, vibrato, and sense of melody. If he ever needs a guitar or amp, he can have all of mine.

Awesome. And the band mix was absolutely perfect. Just enough singer to know he's there, but no more.

  :D

ROTFLMAO

I`m not in any position to tell a pro how to run their career but why the heck did he leave UFO right when the live album was released. Had Phil Moog and Pete Way got to collaborate on ideas and riffs Michael used on his first two solo albums in 80 & 81 the band could have really taken off

The perfect rhythm comping on this was just as impressive as the leads -- if not more so.

Ok so I am not the only fan boy! Just love the phrasing, he always has a way to use these odd scales that he seems to have made up. Like Into Arena , there is a real weird run right before that middle section which I cannot figure out for shit. As to the man himself, not sure he was ever really one for chit chat with people he doesn't inow. I guess that is just an individual trait vs an ego. Or maybe he is just sick of touring and playing those tunes night after night... Regardless , he still gives people their money worth!

As for his vibrato, my findings is that you need to hit the note to grip it so it makes a sound at natural pitch and then you do very wide vibrato, maybe 2-3 up and downs and that is it vs say Kirk Hammett trill or other players with fast vibrato. Try it out!
