inform me on surreal amps. plz

Thinking of having jerry mod my super lead..really want a aldrich mod but he said he'd mod it to his Classic modern circuit which would be pretty close to a aldrich...I really want a aldrich mod but since mark isnt modding amps Should I go for it with jerry or just sell the slp and save some more coin and wait for a cameron to pop up used> I have a few other amps so it wouldnt hurt to wait for one. But Jerry seems like a stand up guy, super nice just not alot of info on surreal amps. So any input would be great

In my opinion, if you want an aldrich, I'd wait and buy one of Mark's mods

Having said that, I do have a few mods and builds done by Jerry and they are great amps. I wouldn't say the classic modern is really like the aldrich... or at least the one I had (which was supposedly a bit different from most of them)

I think this would be a bit closer, but I'm not sure if he can mod existing amps to this spec

I am pretty sure that he could do any of marks amp mods being he has seen the insides of more then a few. He probably would rather do one of his own though.

Last I spoke to Jerry he had not seen the guts of one of Mark's Aldrich mods.

Dave taylors his builds to what the customer wants. I'm not saying he would do a Mark mod, but there's a good chance you'd get ur amp back.

I would like an Aldrich JMP someday but whatever.

Not my amp (mine is red ) but it's a good example of the sound. I'd ask Jerry if he remembers what was being used, but I think one of the clips had scumback J75s for the speakers.

That amp in the first clip basically has the lead channel of the AKA 100. It's pretty stripped down from what I understand, though it does have a few voicing options

Had a Friedman BE modded Marshall..nice amp and Dave's a nice guy who gets back to you. But if you want Aldrich tone you just have to find a Cameron..period. The Gower Cali I had recently is pretty close..real aggressive. My Jubilee (boosted) is even closer to my ears. But the Friedman I had wasn't real close AT ALL to a Cameron Aldrich. It was a nice amp..no doubt. But not the real deal.
