If your taking the strings off for the Floyd maybe paint while your at it. A Japanese rising sun would look nice on a LP. Like Demartini had on his Charvel.

I say do it, just make sure you do a video of the router cutting into the flame maple top for the Floyd.
And a close up vid of drilling the holes in the back of the neck for the locking nut would be neat as well.
A before and after appraisal from George Gruhn would be funny as hell...
