That's a shit load of studio time between those two. I've become a fan of Bukovac since he started his Youtube channel (covid). He's a life master of the instrument but not a shredder, way more chord oriented. Like a piano player. After being a fan of the shredders for so long it's a different type of mastery that's cool to me.

EDIT: Oh and @VonBonfire , Tyler alert (I think?).

Ive only heard of Tom the last couple months on YouTube. Some kind of feud with this other youtuber thats talking a lot of shit about Tom.
Sad really

He has been touring with Guthrie Trapp lately. I really like the way Guthrie plays, killer picker. Both are excellent guitarists but the music was all guitar centric stuff of course so it doesn't really touch my soul.

Uncle Larry would wipe the floor with most of us. He just doesn’t do much metal on YT

I saw that too. Kind of ridiculous, the guy seemed to get really butt hurt about something that Tom said, and his entire page is now going after Tom. Very odd.

Guthrie is so good.
He's an amazing player as well.

There's a bunch of video's of Guthrie and the GT Trio at The Underdog. For reference, there is a pool table (the only one) about 20 feet in front Guthrie. The back wall is just enough room behind that for one pool table. The bar in the background is the back wall. It's tiny. Sounds great tho.

awesome interview—the end discussion w/Mutt’s mix concepts was great.

I thought the same. Also really cool to see them leading each other with chord progressions. After 20 years, I only recently decided to start learning basic theory. I still have the vocabulary of a toddler, but it' nice to have an idea of what they are talking about.

Very cool interview.

I like Tom’s channel. He rambles on a lot, but some of the lesson bits he gets into are absolutely golden. He also has an insane ability to pick up different guitars & really lock onto what they excel at.
