I like to watch videos like this one. Agreed it’s not for everyone. I will do mic’ed video as well another day.
But here’s a video showing of, in order of amps in the video:
Mark IV 0-1:00
Dual Rec Rev F Blackface 1:00-2:00
Dual Rec Rev F Hermansson Amplification 2:00-2:59
Dual Rec Rev G 2:59-end
Both stock DR are boosted with OD-808. The Hermansson are tight as is.
Guitar is Mayones Duvell with BKP Ragnarok with is a bright guitar tuned to standard.
Captured with an iPhone 10
Thru Zilla 2x12 with V30’s
My thoughts is between the Dual Recs are:
Hermansson are tight! A modern metal beast. Sounds good at any volume. Lots of options too. I like it a lot.
Blackface Rev F are also just fantastic. The tightest of the 2 stock.
The rev G is the least tightest and a bit boomy compared to the others. Definitely will always favor a Rev F.
Mark IV are…. Mark IV which also are tight a greasy. Have to have one ?
Hope you can gain something out of the video. And are of course playing Metallica. ??
