Is it just me or is the new ESP logo terrible

I will not purchase a new ESP with that logo. It's terrible. Why would they change the iconic logo? Anyone else think the same thing? Also, why are they trying to get rid of the standard series?

Edit: Putting the word "standard" under the new logo doesn't help.

I definitely like the older one better...what were they thinking?
 
Is it just me or is the new headstock design terrible, or should I say - FUGLY!

I was recently thinking about pulling the trigger on one of their basses until I noticed that they have since remodelled the headstock with this nasty point! Grrr! I know, I know, its only a aesthetic thing, but come on ESP! The original look was one of the things I liked about your simple/sleek designs and then you went and switched it up for the worst imo!

Since when does ESP stick to one thing anyway, they have couple of logos.

Horrible. Kills the Eclipse especially for me... All of the old logos were better, the new logo looks like it was inspired by the truckster... Bleh
 
Been a big ESP fan/owner for years. No reason to change. Leave the logo alone like Gibson or Fender.

The old logo ruled and I do not like the new logo.
It's a blasphemy almost like changing a Nike logo.
 
So much for getting rid of the standard series renaming it E II.

Fuck those are expensive now. $1,949 for an Eclipse. The signature guitar prices are WAY over the top. I'd rather buy a new TA or Suhr for less.

Charvel did the same thing in the 90's. Never figured out why. Dumb.
 
I almost bought a white Eclipse Monday in addition to the PRS I grabbed at GC'c "Guitar-A-Thon" sale. They had the new Standard with that ugly logo for $1049 out the door. The trans red was $900. Just didn't gel with how it felt.
